Metal Compass with Flip-Top Cover – Pocket Compass, Ø 50 mm

This metal compass with a flip-top cover fits in your pocket, backpack, or emergency kit. Handy when your phone is dead or has no signal, and with its classic look, it also makes a great gift.

Flip-top cover protects the dial

The cover flips shut over the dial, protecting the glass in your pocket or bag. With the ring, you can hang the compass from a cord, keychain, or carabiner.

Clear scale

The dial shows the cardinal directions and a degree scale, so you can easily determine a direction.

Small size

The compass has a diameter of 50 mm, is 16 mm high, and is 72 mm long including the ring.

Why a compass when you have a phone?

A compass always works: no battery, no signal, and no satellite required. If your phone is dead, you are in a forest without coverage, or in an emergency, a compass will still help you find your way.

How to use it

Hold the compass flat in your hand, away from metal and electronics. Wait until the needle stops moving: it points north. Turn yourself to face the direction you want to follow, and choose a recognizable landmark in the distance to walk towards.

Also makes a great gift

With its classic metal look, the compass makes a great gift for hikers, scouts, children going on an adventure, or anyone looking to supplement their emergency kit. Small, useful, and built to last for years. Do not store the compass right next to magnets or your phone, as this can temporarily interfere with the needle. With the flip-top cover closed, it is well protected in your pocket.
